Hello. I’m Pauline, founder and owner of The Lost Lamb Restaurant at The Auldhouse Arms in East Kilbride.
My wee mammy came up with the name – it’s a nod to our beautiful farmland surroundings on the outskirts of East Kilbride and sums up a little bit about where I came from, and my journey to this point. (And I’m the baby of the family, so lamb seemed appropriate!)
I have more than 20 years’ experience in the restaurant business, latterly as a patron of two award winning restaurants, but The Lost Lamb is closer to my heart than any other venture of which I have had the pleasure of being a part.
My children attended the school across the road and I love the quaint, quirky buildings of the old Auldhouse village.
My expertise lies in traditional, Scottish fare, sourcing where possible local and seasonal produce and that is what I will bring to The Lost Lamb.
Homemade favourites and Scottish classics like Cullen skink, Dingwall haggis, Shetland mussels and Stornoway black pudding feature alongside new menu options – all, of course, delivered by our friendly, attentive staff, many of whom have been here longer than I have.
Together, with a lot of hard work and a little bit of love, we will grow and blossom together with as much enjoyment as I have had getting here.
So I hope you’ll visit, and enjoy some good food and friendly conversation.
Come on in, you’re very welcome.
